Morgan and Davids relationship is smoking hot! I mean that literally... She accidentally sat him on fire during the proposal! Okay, just his shirt but still it's a funny story. You see he proposed during the grand finale of the annual fireworks show her family puts on for the Fourth. David knew how important family was to Morgan and since that day marked two years since he had first met her family he knew it was the perfect occasion.
"He met 50 of my relatives at once! That's how I knew he was the one. Anyone that can handle them can handle anything!" Jokes Morgan
They had been talking marriage for a while but she had no idea David had already bought a ring and a proposal was in the works. When it was time to light the grand finale David disappeared so Morgan took over. When she stepped back to watch the fireworks David was there on one knee. This is where the setting him on fire part comes in... Morgan was so excited she forgot she still had a lit punk in her hand and set his shirt on fire! Thankfully it was not a big deal and he escaped unscathed but it's not something they will forget soon. I mean, you can see the smoke coming from his shirt in the pictures her family snapped!
David and Morgan chose Moore Rustic Farms for their wedding and you guys know how much I loved hearing that! It was a perfect Spring day from start to finish!
Morgans gorgeous ring came from Meigs Jewelry in Tahlequah. Meigs offers their brides something that I think is just awesome. If you purchase your ring from Meigs they will let you borrow your wedding day jewelry. How cool is that! Morgan chose a gorgeous vintage inspired necklace and earring set. It complemented her wedding dress beautifully.
Speaking of her dress! Other than being stunning it is also one of a kind. It once belonged to her new Mother In-Law, then Morgan took it to Bridal Couture by Sonni who gave it a gorgeous update while still keeping the original style in mind.
A Flower Can provided the stunning florals as well as the draping and tux's.
David created most of the decor for the ceremony himself!
The reception was a great party! Everyone danced and laughed all night.
Thank you for allowing us to capture this special day for you.

The first wedding of 2016 really set the bar high! Tonya and Fred hosted what was easily one of the most elegant and timeless weddings I have ever had the pleasure of photographing. The ceremony was held at their church followed by a fun filled reception at the McAlester Country Club. Tonya chose a gorgeous pallet of ivory, pewter and just a hint of soft pink and I must say I’m completely obsessed with that pewter draping from D’z Rentals! The amazingly talented Robin from Bella Birdie coordinated the event which went off seamlessly.
The only special request Tonya had was that I get some photos of Fred in front of the doors at the old Union Ironworks building which has been in his family for years. I love incorporating meaningful locations or items into photos!
Tonya wore a few of my favorite things! Kendra Scott, Rustic Cuff (her something blue by the way) and Vera... Oh Vera!!!
She also scored this amazing shrug for some outdoor photos.
Tonya and Fred chose to do a first look so they could maximize their time enjoying the reception. I love capturing those first moments they see each other.
Yep... still obsessed with the pewter draping....
Congratulations Fred and Tonya! Thank you for allowing us to capture your wedding day!

Kati and Cory have an adorable story! You see they grew up just miles apart but never met. In high school they used the same photographer for their senior photos and the photographer loved their images so much (I mean... have you seen how photogenic they are?) she used them on an ad and they ended up right next to each other! Fast forward several years and they both found themselves back in their hometown of McAlester working in the medical field. Kati as a registered nurse in the Emergency Department and Cory as a Firefighter / Paramedic. Cory would regularly bring patients into the hospital and finally asked Kati out. It took a few dates for Cory to realize that gorgeous girl beside him in the ad was now the beautiful woman holding his hand! I mean, how cute is that? After dating over a year and asking for her parents blessing, Cory proposed to Kati in front of the original Eureka Springs Fire Station in Eureka Springs, Arkansas where of course she said "YES"!
Which leads us to this simply breathtaking Summer wedding.
We photographed Kati’s Bridal Portraits at the McAlester Country Club which would later be the reception venue.
Kati’s found her gorgeous Allure gown at Moliere Bridal and I’m so in love with her Kendra Scott jewelry that was also her something borrowed.
A friend of Cory’s loaned him this awesome roadster for the day!
I LOVE a first look you guys! It allows me to capture the real emotions you feel when you first see each other and we get extra time for portraits!
Kati chose an English Garden theme. It was elegant and very fitting for the season and the venue she chose, her grandmothers perfectly landscaped home!
The ceremony was full of perfectly planned personal touches. The brides brother sang during the ceremony and the stained glass window that hung above the guest book table was once in the church where her parents were married.
Of course we had to bring the roadster back out for some photos before they headed to the reception and I'm so glad we did! This has to be my favorite wedding portrait ever!
A close family friend, Carla House, who just so happens to be an amazingly talented designer, helped coordinate and decorate the event. Of course with a theme like English Garden flowers were of utmost importance. An abundance of florals from Mann's Flowers helped transform the Country Club into the perfect setting. There was even a floral chandelier crowning the dance floor!
DJ Connection kept dance floor packed the entire night! A sparkler filled exit capped off the night before Kati and Cory headed for their Jamaican Honeymoon!
Thank you both for allowing us to capture this amazing day! We are truly honored!

Caleb and Dakota were married at Moore Rustic Farms in the heart of Fall. As we were driving up I quickly knew this would be one of my new favorite venues and I was right. Not only is it beautiful but the staff run it seamlessly! The little cabins are perfect for the bridal party to get ready in and the gorgeous Fall leaves just added to the beauty of the location.
I love the bohemian look Dakota chose for her bridesmaids! And I can't even begin to tell you how much fun I had working with them! Oh and lets not forget to mention those amazing robes! I think every wedding party should have them! They add so much to the getting ready pictures and make great gifts for your girls!
What did I tell you? She is just stunning!
Of course we can't leave out the handsome groom! And... I believe this is a first, he didn't gripe about pictures one time. At least where I could hear! LOL
I am obsessed with Dakotas engagement ring! The turquoise is so unique! I thought the tree they planted during the ceremony made the perfect accessory to the ring shot.
Moore Rustic Farms have several location choices for the ceremony. Caleb and Dakota chose the Pavillion and added so many personal touches. A vintage cart with hot apple cider greeted the guests as they came in and they incorporated their love of travel by asking guests to sign a globe instead of the traditional guest book.
Seriously... can they get much more good looking? And lets take a minute to admire Dakotas amazing Justin Alexander dress!
That amazing cake was made by Dakotas talented aunt!
Sparkler send offs are always my favorite. I mean do you ever get too old to play with sparklers? I think not!
Caleb and Dakota,
Thank you again for allowing us to be part of your magical day. We wish you a lifetime of love and laughter!
Love,
Kassey and Wes

I had quite the event happen on a shoot last week! These two love birds got engaged! First the back story....
I recently shot Miss Lakelynn's 1st Birthday pictures. Remember this cutie??
Well I was really excited when her mom, Kelsey, called and said her boyfriend wanted to take family pictures. She sounded a little confused I remember her even saying "I don't know he just said he wanted to take some." HAHA! Well we would soon find out why. Her sister told me his secret plan to propose during the shoot! I was thrilled! I have been wanting to shoot a surprise engagement for some time now and with Valentines day coming up it was just perfect!
So back to the big moment... The day came for the shoot and after weeks of gorgeous weather in the 70's we managed to pick the one day when it was literally 25 degrees and super windy! Oh well this show MUST go on! I'm pretty sure that ring was burning a hole in Cody's pocket! So first some family shots, that is why we are here after all right?
Then I set it up where Kelsey thought she was just posing with her back to Cody to give him a chance to get ready...
She was so surprised and excited! Congratulations you guys! And thank you for letting me capture these once in a lifetime images for you!
